Upcoming closure off Hempnall Road, 2nd to 5th April 2024

NORFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL proposes to make a Temporary Traffic Regulation

Order (STRO10544) affecting the B1527 Hempnall Road from its junction with A140

Norwich Road for 1500m eastwards in the TOWN OF LONG STRATTON to facilitate

carriageway surface dressing and patch works.


The road will be temporarily closed (except for access) from 2nd to 5th April 2024 for

the duration of the works expected to be about 4 days within the period.

Alternative route is via: B1527 Norwich Road, Hempnall Road, Mill Road, Bungay

Road, Short New Road, Church Road, B1332 Norwich Road A143 Bungay Road ,

Old Railway Road, Harleston Bypass, High Road, Brockdish Needham Bypass,

Scole Road, Lower Street, Scole Stuston Bypass, A140 Scole Bypass, Scole

Roundabout, Dickleburgh Bypass, Scole Dickleburgh Bypass, Ipswich Road, The

Street, Norwich Road (Scole, Wortwell, Hedenham, Redenhall with Harleston,

Needham, Topcroft, Pulham Market, Alburgh, Dickleburgh and Rushall, Denton,

Tivetshall, Burston and Shimpling, Brockdish, Earsham, Wacton, Brome and Oakley,

Bungay, Morningthorpe and Fritton, Woodton, Stuston, Hempnall, Long Stratton,

Ditchingham).


If necessary, the restriction could run for a maximum period of 18 months from the

date of the Order.
