School
Woodton is fortunate to have an excellent Primary School within the village itself, with an Outstanding Secondary School close by in Bungay. Founded in 1877, Woodton Primary School is a village school which caters for children from the age of four to eleven, primarily serving the villages of Woodton and Bedingham, though some of the children come from other surrounding villages.
Woodton sits well within the catchment area for several excellent Secondary Schools, all of which are attended by children in the village from the age of 11 upwards. They are;

Churches
Woodton has one church: All Saints’. The Methodist Chapel is now privately owned. All Saints is part of the Hempnall Group of parishes, which has now combined with Brooke to create a new benefice, Langhale.
All Saints’ Church has a round tower, of Norman or possibly Saxon construction. The nave and chancel date from 1300. Inside is a beautifully sculpted memorial to Ann Suckling, the great-great-grand mother of Lord Nelson. The church contains a good example of a ‘squint’ (allowing the altar to be seen from the aisle), with a carved head above. All Saints Woodton is a British Listed Buildings Grade II*

Village noticeboard & large scale ordnance survey map
There is a village noticeboard located beside the Parish Council noticeboard opposite the former Woodton Stores, which was kindly donated by Woodton United Charities. This noticeboard is for use of anyone who wishes to put notices up and therefore is not locked. We hope that everyone will look at what is on the board. In addition there is also a large scale ordnance survey map of Woodton, Bedingham and the local surrounding villages - Ideal for walkers!
