Solar Farm Proposals from East Pye Solar (EPS)

Many of you will be aware of the solar farm proposals from East Pye Solar (EPS) in our area  https://www.eastpyesolar.co.uk/project-overview

An action group called Block East Pye Solar has been created on social media, alongside  a steering group, looking at how they can effectively develop and make arguments against the proposals.

The group have set up a Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/groups/1005370411341452/, and also a webpage https://blockeastpyesolar.co.uk/ where posters can be found for residents to download to display to show their opposition. Dog waste removal

It has been brought to the Parish Councils attention that there is an increased amount of dog fouling within the village.  Dog waste removal is an important aspect of responsible pet ownership. It not only helps keep our environment clean and free from bacteria but also ensures the safety and hygiene of our community. By taking the time to properly dispose of your dog’s waste, you are not only being considerate to others but also helping to prevent the spread of diseases.  Leaving dog waste unattended can lead to severe health risks for both humans and animals. The bacteria present in dog faeces can contain contaminated soil, water sources and even food, causing diseases such as roundworm and giardia.  These illnesses are easily preventable with proper disposal methods.  Please look after our community and clean up after your dog(s).

Parking

It has been brought to our notice that a few vehicles are parking on the pavements in Woodton. Please be considerate when parking so as to avoid potential accidents and danger to pedestrians.  Thank you.

Adding or contributing items to Community Wood

As everyone knows the Parish Council owns the Woodton Community Wood, which has become a very valuable asset to the village.  We want everyone to enjoy the space and be respectful of its purpose as a Wood, and in particular to protect its biodiversity and wildlife.  With this in mind, we would ask that should anyone wish to add or contribute an item to the Wood, be it garden furniture, trees or plants, or ornaments, they first consult the Parish Council for their consideration.  Please contact the Parish Clerk by email on woodtonpc@gmail.com.  Thank you for your co-operation.
