Norfolk County Council proposes to make a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order (the “Order”) (STRO12390) affecting the B1332 Norwich Road from 200m north of its junction with U76389 Church Road for 2431m northwards (“Road A”) and C372 Seething Road from its junction with B1332 Norwich Road for 3m eastwards (“Road B”) in the Parish of Kirstead to facilitate Norfolk County Council water jetting works, the Roads A and B will be temporarily closed/restricted (except for pedestrian access) for the duration of the works/period the closure is necessary which is anticipated to be between 19:30 and 06:00 from 9th to 12th April 2025, but may continue to be closed/restricted until the 24th May 2025 where the closure/restriction is still required beyond the anticipated dates.
Alternative route is via:
Road A: B1332 Norwich Road, A143 Broome bypass / Yarmouth Road, A146 Beccles Road / Loddon Bypass / Norwich Road / Loddon Road, B1332 Bungay Road / The Street / Norwich Road.
Road B: B1332 Norwich Road, The Street, Hunstead Lane, Brooke Road, Seething Street, Wheelers Lane, Seething Road.
(Stockton, Framingham Pigot, Poringland, Kirstead, Ellingham, Framingham Earl, Ditchingham, Chedgrave, Kirby Bedon, Brooke, Yelverton, Broome, Hellington, Hales, Woodton, Gillingham, Ashby St. Mary, Loddon, Sisland, Thurton, Caistor St. Edmund and Bixley, Kirby Cane, Holverston, Hedenham).
The works promoter for this restriction/closure is: Norfolk County Council.
Vehicular access will be permitted to a final destination in the Roads A and B where signs indicating such access is possible and permitted are in place.
The Order shall automatically revoke on the completion of the works/when the closure is no longer necessary or otherwise on the 24th May 2025 without further notice.
If necessary, the restriction could run for a maximum period of 18 months from the date the Order is effective.
A person who contravenes, or who uses or permits the use of a vehicle in contravention of the restriction/closure imposed by the Order shall be guilty of an offence.
Penalty: £1000 maximum fine on conviction and/or endorsement for contravention.
In the event of the start date being delayed the new start date will be displayed on site in advance.
