Seething - Upcoming Temporary Road Closures of Harvey Lane, Upgate Road, Toad Lane & Seething Road, 19th to 20th August

Norfolk County Council proposes to make a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order (the “Order”) (STRO13155) affecting the C824 Harvey Lane from its junction with U76389 Upgate Road for 75m westwards (“Road A”) and U76389 Upgate Road from its junction with C824 Harvey Lane for 75m northwards (“Road B”) and C824 Toad Lane from its junction with U76389 Upgate Road for 75m eastwards (“Road C”) and U76389 Seething Road from its junction with U76389 Upgate Road for 75m southwards (“Road D") in the Parish of Seething to facilitate carriageway repair works, the Roads A-D will be temporarily closed/restricted (except for pedestrian access) for the duration of the works/period the closure is necessary which is anticipated to be from 19th to 20th August 2025, but may continue to be closed/restricted until the 1st October 2025 where the closure/restriction is still required beyond the anticipated dates.

 

NB: Please note that access will be given to Roads A-D up to the points of closure.

 

Alternative route is via: Seething Street, Loddon Road, Thwaite Road, Bungay Road, Belsey Bridge Road, B1332 Norwich Road, Seething Road, Wheelers Lane (Kirstead, Mundham, Ditchingham, Thwaite, Woodton, Seething, Hedenham).

 

The works promoter for this restriction/closure is: Norfolk County Council.      

 

Vehicular access will be permitted to a final destination in the Roads A-D where signs indicating such access is possible and permitted are in place.

 

The Order shall automatically revoke on the completion of the works/when the closure is no longer necessary or otherwise on the 1st October 2025 without further notice.

 

If necessary, the restriction could run for a maximum period of 18 months from the date the Order is effective.

 

A person who contravenes, or who uses or permits the use of a vehicle in contravention of the restriction/closure imposed by the Order shall be guilty of an offence.


In the event of the start date being delayed the new start date will be displayed on site in advance.
